Thomas Planzos, DMD

Thomas Planzos, DMD, brings a wealth of experience to his role at Impressive Dental Care in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Thomas Planzos has been offering the highest quality of general and cosmetic dentistry for over 35 years, continuously investing in the most innovative dental technology at his office.

Education has always been a central focus for Dr. Planzos. He began his studies at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1982, before completing his dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 1986. A one year residency in general practice at the now-NYU/Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn refined his dental skills and brought him back to Brooklyn, NY where he has practiced and lived ever since.

Dr. Planzos has also made community involvement and teaching a priority. For twelve years, he had volunteered his time every Friday to co-direct New York University’s Full Mouth Rehabilitation continuing education course. He has been an invited speaker to many venues nationally and internationally, including the Bay Ridge Dental Society, an organization that he served as past President. Many young neighborhood individuals were first inspired by Dr. Planzos’ enthusiasm and positive attitude towards the profession. After being invited to spend time shadowing him at the office, most have decided to pursue a career in dentistry. 

Dr. Planzos’ three dentist daughters have joined him and practice alongside him at their Bay Ridge dental office, to carry out his legacy and provide superior care to their patients.
