A solid educational background informs and guides the care Dr. Planzos provides. She completed her undergraduate studies summa cum laude at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton and was inducted into the National Honors Society, Phi Beta Kappa. She then continued her studies at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, where she earned her dental degree with clinical honors. For three years after dental school, she pursued specialized training in Prosthodontics at Columbia University in New York City, earning a master’s degree. Prosthodontics focuses on full mouth rehabilitation, complex dental treatment, and cosmetics. During her specialty training, Dr. Penny Planzos was involved in clinical research on implant dentistry, which won numerous awards, including first place at the American College of Prosthodontics national competition, and is pending publication.
As a prosthodontist, Dr. Planzos is highly skilled in treatments that restore, replace, and improve teeth. She performs implant restorations, dental veneers, crowns, and bridges and enjoys incorporating the latest technology into her treatments.
